I love the sense of community here at SCNM. The stress of school can be overwhelming but knowing you have the support not only of your classmates and friends but also your teachers, doctors and staff help to keep me grounded and focused. I also love how your class becomes your family and supports each other.
I like all of the restaurants down on Mill Avenue in Tempe. There is a great assortment of food and personalities. Also, Tempe Beach Park nearby is a fun place for runners or just to sit and study with a nice view of the sunset and lake.
In addition to being a Student Ambassador, I was on the White Coat Committee for my class. I am also a peer mentor and a member of the Sports Medicine club.
I was an open champion Irish Step Dancer. I started Irish step dancing at the age of 5 and danced all through high school.
I am very interested in pain management and women’s health specifically hormone management.
I love the personalized care of naturopathic medicine. We really take the time to listen to our patients and figure out the root causes of a problem and work to fix them as a whole. I also like that we work with our patients to prevent future issues.
The weather is definitely a given. I will even take the really hot summers since it is easy to travel north to get cooled off for a day or weekend escape. Also, I love the sports. There are baseball, basketball, hockey, and football stadiums around depending on your interests. Spring training baseball is also always a good time with cheap tickets.
