At the most recent administration of the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations (NPLEX), a greater percentage of students at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) passed on their first attempt than the average of all US and Canadian naturopathic medical schools.
Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Garrett Thompson stated, “We are very proud of our students’ accomplishments, and I commend the campus for continuing to foster SCNM’s culture of learning!” We must thank SCNM’s dedicated faculty for developing the excellent curriculum that prepared our students for these important examinations.
With a pass rate of 85%, SCNM students outpaced the AAMNC school average by 9% on the NPLEX part 1, which focuses on biomedical science. This includes a fantastic 95% pass rate on the structure and function section of the test. SCNM students also had an 86% pass rate on the NPLEX part 2, compared to an 83% average for other schools.
We are very proud of our students and faculty for this evidence of their hard work, dedication, and intelligence.
