Since SCNM was the first naturopathic medical school to reinvent the curriculum in more than 30 years, it should come as no surprise that we are the first to revise it again. Over the past four years, we reviewed course evaluations, measured student stress, sought feedback from faculty, and listened to students. Governor Martin O’Malley today signed a bill to enable naturopathic doctors in Maryland to become licensed to practice naturopathic medicine. Discovery Day, a full day of free activities and sessions designed to educate the community about naturopathic medicine and provide insight for prospective students, was held on Saturday, March 22 at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe. We had a wonderful turnout this year with record-breaking registration numbers!
