Dr. Highfield is a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where she also completed a one-year residency with a focus in family practice.
She is professor and chair of the Community Medicine Department at SCNM and SCNM’s extended-site clinics. She has trained student doctors at these community medicine sites, treating underserved families and addiction recovery patients, since 2002.
Dr. Highfield is a supervisory physician at SCNM Medical Center and is medical director and supervising physician at Hamilton Elementary School Clinic, an extended site in Phoenix. She has been primary investigator on studies with the Southwest College Research Institute. She completed post-graduate training in environmental medicine, IV therapy and certification in chelation therapy.
She maintains a private practice at SCNM Medical Center and specializes in therapeutic modalities including nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and tissue cleansing in the treatment of endocrine and GI disorders, chronic fatigue and environmental illness.
